The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sunday, but the streets are crowded with shoppers anyway. Photo from my seat at lunch.

Restaurant at hotel in Instanbul. It was on the 7th floor with an incredible view of the the inland Sea of Marmara and all the ships waiting to enter the Bosporus.

Small sandwiches called 'donors' (about the size of a pita bread) were sold with chicken or beef, lettuce and tomato for about $1,00 to $1.50

Outside the closed Grand Bazaar. Still, hundreds of vendors and selling alley ways. Leather goods, tourist trinkets, carpets (some flying ones too). Most of the shoppers were Turks.
